Part of the automated matching relies on Course Departments. Each course has a department. These departments must be associated with Grad Student Degree Codes.

The associated Degree Codes will be used to match Grad Students in certain degrees with courses that have available TA slots.

For example, If the Degree Code 063 is associated with the ANTHRO Course Department code, any ANTHRO courses may have Grad Students with the 063 Degree Code matched to any open slots that remain after the stable marriage match.
