Edit Application Configuration

The information for each unit is maintained in the Configuration section. To edit information for a unit, select DB Maintenance from the main menu, and then Configuration from the sub-menu.

Next select a unit from the 'School/Department' drop down list and click submit.

Note: Generally, the only unit available is the same unit as the currently logged in user. If a different unit is available, or the same unit as the logged in user is unavailable, please contact computing services (sscs@uci.edu).

The following sections are available for configuration:


Key Manager Email

This email will be used throughout the application as the default contact email. Some automatic emails may be sent to this address. This email may also be displayed on various pages as the source to contact if there are any problems.


Contact Info

This contact information is displayed when a user searches for details on a key found belonging to this unit. It is suggested to include the following information for the main Key Manager of this unit:

  • Full name
  • Building and room number
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Deposit Amount

If the accounting system will be used, this sets the default deposit amount for any keys that require a deposit. If the deposit amount is changed, it will not affect any transactions already processed.
