The main non-student list member page is a member pool whose members can be part of any non-student mailing list. Member data may be edited. Edited data will override campus data. Grad and Undergrad students should not be added to the non-student member pool.
The top of the member pool page displays differences between local data and campus data. There is also a color key to show different status in the member table.
Grad and Undergrad students should never be added to the non=student member pool. Several filters are in place to attempt to prevent this, but there is no reliable way to exclude all students as some may also be employees.
The member pool is a list of all People that have been manually added for membership in a non-student mailing list. When new members are added they are checked against the campus LDAP to see if they are an employee and if their UCInetID is valid. Students should not be added to the non-student member pool.
Status Messages are displayed at the top of the main non-student list member page. The Status Messages show the difference between Department, HR Status, and Employee Class, in our local data versus Campus Data. Most Status Messages contain a link to edit the mentioned non-student member.
Status Messages also show if a non-student member is missing in Campus data. A missing member usually means the UCInetID is no longer active. Inactive UCInetIDs will not receive email even if they are a current list member.
The color key defines the colors used to highlight certain cells in the non-student member pool. Cells will be highlighted if any of the following is true:
If no room is found, that member will not be included in any of the building specific mailing lists.
There are three options to managing non-student members:
Pool Members may be added to any mailing list managed by this application. If a member is deleted from the member pool, they will be removed from all lists managed by this application before deletion.
