Install Microsoft Office 365

Office 365 is available via a UCI site license to all Staff and Faculty.

Before proceeding with instructions below, you must have an Office 365 license assigned to your AD/Exchange account: YourUCInetID@ad.uci.edu.

Please contact sscs@uci.edu to request an Office 365 license be assigned to you.

1. Go to https://outlook.com/uci.edu/
2. Log in with your UCInetID@ad.uci.edu account
   • This password is not necessarily the same as your regular UCInetID password
   • If you don't know it, you can reset your password with the link on that page
   • After entering your password, you may be prompted to perform Duo MFA account verification

After you are logged in at the outlook.com/uci.edu site, then:

1. Click the dots menu button in the upper-left corner
   • 
2. Click on Office 365 → in the upper-right of the menu that opens
   • 
3. On the new page, click Install Office in the upper-right corner, then select Office 365 apps
   • 
4. Download and run the installer that this gives you.

After it finishes installing, start Word or Excel, and it should ask you to sign in. Your login name for this is:

YourUCInetID@ad.uci.edu

The password is the same Exchange password you used to log in to the outlook.com/uci.edu webpage. Logging in to one application should also register the rest for you.
