TA Matching Overview | Users ====== Administrative Users ====== Administrative Users are one of the three types of users who can access the TA Matching web site. All Administrative users can take both the Instructor and TA surveys, but their results will not be added to the database. This feature allows admins to test the surveys and see what an instructor or potential TA will see. Administrative users also have access to the **Admin Home** link on the main TA Matching web site. This link takes a user to the Admin area. The **Administrative Users** link in the **Users** sub-section of the Admin area manages Administrative users. The Admin area has three different access levels; **Admin**, **Edit**, and **View**. Access levels correspond to the three sections in the Admin area. Administrative users may access sections equal to or lower than their own access level. * **Admin** users have access to all sections in the Admin area; **Admin**, **Edit**, and **View**. * **Edit** users have access to the **Edit** and **View** sections of the Admin area. * **View** users have access only to the **View** area. Clicking the **Administrative Users** link in the **Users** sub-section of the Admin area will show the list of current Administrative Users. The **Add User** link is used to add new users. The **Update Status** button will apply any access level changes, including the **Delete** option which will remove a user from the list. ===== Add User ===== Any person with a valid UCInetID can be added as an Administrative User. The steps to add a user are listed here: - Enter a valid UCInetID - Select the desired Access level from the drop down list - click the **Add User** button to add the user to the list ===== Update Status ===== The **Update Status** button must be clicked to apply any Access Level changes. The possible Access Levels for current Administrative Users are as follows: * **Admin** - grant full access to the TA Matching website * **Edit** - grant access to the **Edit** and **View** sections of the Admin area * **View** - grant access to the **View** section of the Admin area * **Delete** - remove this user from the Administrative User List
