====== How do I report spam email? ======


  * Forward suspicious mail to OIT's spam collection address: **spam@uci.edu**

  * Follow instructions below to forward the message with full headers (also called the full original message) so that it can be blocked.

==== UCI Gmail ====
  - Open the suspicious message
  - Click the **three dots** next to Reply near the top-right of the message
  - Select **Show original**
  - Copy the entire text and paste it into a new message
  - Send it to spam@uci.edu
 

==== Outlook ====
  - Select the suspicious message
  - In the menu bar click on **More** just to the right of the Forward button, then select **Forward as Attachment**
  - A new email will open with the original email as an attachment
  - Send it to spam@uci.edu
 

==== macOS Mail ====
  - In the menu bar click **View** -> **Message** -> **Long Headers**
  - Click on the suspicious message to highlight it, and then click on the Forward button
  - Send it to spam@uci.edu
 

==== Thunderbird ====
  - In the menu bar click **View** -> **Headers** -> **All**
  - Click on the suspicious message to highlight it, and then click on the Forward button
  - Send it to spam@uci.edu
  - After forwarding the message with full headers, you can switch back to normal headers by selecting View > Headers > Normal
