+Part of the automated matching relies on Course Departments. Each Course has a Department. These Departments must be associated with Grad Student Degree Codes.
+Degree Codes are used to match Grad Students in the associated degree with courses that have available TA slots.
+For example, If the Degree Code 063 is associated with the ANTHRO Course Department, any ANTHRO courses may have Grad Students with the 063 Degree Code matched to any open slots that remain after the stable marriage match.
+The Course Department list is pulled from all registrar courses for a school since the previous spring quarter.
+The **Edit** link allows Degree Codes to be added or removed from a Course Department.
+===== Add Degree Code =====
+A drop down list of Degree Codes is available to add a new Degree Code association on the Course Department Edit link. Degree Code associations are added one at a time.

+To remove a Degree Code association, check the **Delete** box on the Course Department Edit link.

+No changes are made until the **Update** button is clicked on the Course Department Edit link. So if the **Update** button is not clicked, no Degree Code Associations will be added or deleted.
